The Ideal Paw was established in 2012 and officially opened its doors on February 2, 2013. After 15 years of grooming experience, the owner envisioned creating a pet salon that felt more like a luxury experience—where every pet could be pampered and receive the individualized care they deserve. At The Ideal Paw, we believe there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to grooming.
During the holiday season, we stock a wide selection of festive treats, collars, leashes, harnesses, Halloween toys, costumes, and unique gifts to make the season even more special for pets and their families.
Grooming prices are based on the time required, which depends on your pet’s size, coat type, and individual needs. While we can provide estimates, exact pricing is determined after the groom. Please allow a minimum of four hours for your pet’s appointment—we’ll call as soon as they’re ready for pickup.
Every pet is different. Some finish quickly, while others may need breaks or extra care. Puppies, for example, can become overstimulated, so we take things slowly to ensure a positive experience. We encourage bringing puppies in early for an introductory bath, helping them grow into the grooming process with ease. Pets introduced later in life often find grooming more stressful.
We also adjust our approach for senior dogs, allowing rest breaks as needed to keep them comfortable. For those who prefer a faster turnaround, we offer express grooming (completed in under two hours) for an additional fee, if suitable for your pet.
We ask that you allow us a minimum of 4 hours to complete your pet’s grooming.
Softens the sharp edge left after clipping the nails.
Moisturizing conditioner that sits for 5 minutes with a warm
towel over the dog. This leaves the coat very soft and moisturizes the skin and coat
Shampoo formulated to kill fleas. This is not a preventative.
We use a toothbrush and tooth paste to brush your dog’s teeth. Not
to be confused with a full dental with scaling which is only done at a veterinarian.
A special shampoo that smells delightfully like blueberries and
helps brighten the face.
Antibacterial Paw soak and leave on oil that helps soothe and dry pads.
We provide grooming services for all dog and cat breeds. Pricing varies based on breed, coat type, add-on services, and the time required. While we’re happy to give an estimate over the phone, exact costs are determined at the appointment. In addition to full grooming, we also offer standalone services—such as nail trims and anal gland expressions—by appointment. These are typically scheduled in the afternoon once grooming appointments are complete, though morning and Saturday slots may be available when time allows. Please note, we do not accept walk-ins as all appointments are booked in advance.
